Some of the ways we're looking at involving new members are listed below, but we're also very open to hearing about other ways you might like to contribute to the cause of housing for people, rather than for profit.
Ways to get involved:
- Help start a third house. We are starting a third house (a second one for Minneapolis) and we'd like you to start it with us. You could work closely with one of our current members in taking charge of developing this additional living space for Arrowtowners. - Join a house. Get on our prospective member list by e-mailing tomaphelan+arrowtown@gmail.com When we have openings in one of our houses, we'll e-mail you first to invite you to apply for one of the rooms available--our average rent is $430/mo, which includes all utilities. Quite a deal and it supports you and your fellows, which makes the whole thing pretty great.
- Join a work committee. A lot of the work Arrowtowners do is through our committees. You could join us on Finance and Development, which works to ensure that we are taking the right steps towards a permanent, sustainable organization. And if people are more of your interest, you could join Membership and Outreach in helping us fill rooms, throw sweet parties and being better connected with our neighborhoods and cities.
